Judy Ann Prachyl, born on February 6, 1952, passed away on December 18, 2025. She leaves behind a rich legacy of love and community engagement that touched the lives of many. Judy retired from Weatherford Independent School District where she worked in administration as accounts payable.
Judy was not only a cherished friend and sister, but was also a volunteer at St. Stephen Catholic Church. Her commitment to her faith and community was evident in her participation in church events and services. She was known for her vibrant personality and beautiful smile, Judy had a deep passion for watching the Texas Rangers Baseball games and enjoyed watching the Yellowstone series. These interests exemplified her zest for life and the joy she found in simple pleasures.
Judy is survived by a loving family, including her siblings: Wanda and her husband, Mike Barham, Donna Wallace, David and his wife, Tammie Prachyl, Sharon and her husband, Steve Kleiber, Debbie and her husband, David Boles, and James and his wife, Arlynn Prachyl. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews who will remember her for the love she had for them.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Antone Fred Prachyl and Frances Elizabeth Gremminger Prachyl Cantrell; her bonus dad, Johnnie Joseph Prachyl; her brother, Allen Prachyl; and her brother-in-law, Jimmie Wallace.
Her visitation will be held at St. Stephen Catholic Church in Weatherford, Texas, on January 9, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., followed by a Rosary at 10:30 a.m. and a Funeral Mass beginning at 11:00 a.m. The church is located at 1802 Bethel Road, Weatherford, Texas 76086.
Judy's spirit will continue to inspire those she leaves behind, and her impact on her community will forever be felt.
The family would like to give a special heart-filled thanks to Nicole Sheridan, Traci Werne-Morrison and Johnny Holt for the love and care they had for Judy during the last few years.
