Juanita Smart Goodman, 79, passed away Monday, June 2, 2008, in a Granbury nursing home. Juanita was born January 12, 1929, in Weatherford, to Albert and Iva Lee Scarlett Erwin. She was a lifelong resident of Weatherford prior to moving to Granbury for care.
A cherished wife and mother, she adored her two sons. As an LVN she retired from the office of Dr. Jack Eidson. She loved to go to Las Vegas and gamble.
Juanita was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles T. Smart; her second husband, Sam Goodman; a son, Michael Smart; and a brother, James Erwin.
Survivors include her son, Ron Smart and his wife Mary Helen of Granbury; sister, Barbara Richards; brother, Kenneth Erwin; granddaughter, Miranda Hake and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services: 2:00 p.m., Thursday at Memory Gardens. Viewing will be at the funeral home Wednesday and Thursday, prior to the service.
