Joyce Lynn Moore Martin

  Joyce Lynn Moore Martin, age 89, passed away Sunday, May 5, 2013, in Fort Worth, Texas.  

  Graveside Service will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday, May 10, 2013, at Greenwood Community Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, May 9, 2013, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel.
 
  Joyce was born November 19, 1923, in Dawson, Texas, to C. E. and Hester D. Moore. She was a resident of Weatherford and teacher. Joyce worked as secretary at the Weatherford Court House prior to teaching. Joyce holds B.S. Degree from TSU and graduate work at TCU and member of Alpha Chi, Delta Kappa Gamma, and Eta Epsilon. She taught 27 years in various Texas Cities. She was a rockhound, faceter, and Silversmith. Joyce was a lover of nature, animals, music, earth, birds, bees and butterflies, flowers and trees.
 
  Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Jack Thomas Martin of Weatherford; step-son, Turf Douglas Martin and wife, JoAnn of Sadalia, Missouri; granddaughter, Ashley Teresia Martin of St. Louis, Missouri; and niece, Vickie D. Moore Young of Fort Worth.
