Joy Dell Gober

 Joy Dell (Sager) Gober, 81, passed away Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at Avir at Keeneland Nursing Home in Weatherford, Texas.

 Joy was born March 7, 1945, in Weatherford, Texas, to Samuel P. Sager and Eula Carra (Fife) Sager. She worked as a nurse’s aide in home health care and also held positions as a cook, waitress, bookkeeper, and employee of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.

 Joy loved her family, friends, and pets with all her heart. She enjoyed working puzzles, playing games, reading, listening to music, and dancing.

 Joy was preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Carra Sager; her brother, Quincy Sager; and her sisters, Jewell Richards and Alta Galloway.

 She is survived by her son, Darrell Cosby, and daughter, Hollie Maddux, both of Weatherford; her daughter, Vicki Davis and husband, Todd, of Azle; her grandchildren, Justin Maddux, Ridge Maddux, Casey McKee, and Lorna McKee; numerous great-grandchildren; her brother, Preston Sager; as well as nieces, nephews, and a host of extended family members and friends.

 A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 23, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Galbreaith Pickard Hilltop Chapel, located at 4941 Interstate 20 Frontage Road in Willow Park, Texas.

 A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, April 24, 2026, also at the Galbreaith Pickard Hilltop Chapel. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens of the Valley Cemetery, 5600 Mineral Wells Highway, Weatherford, Texas.
