Joshua Michael Jones

  Joshua Michael Jones, 39, of Brock, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, December 30, 2015, at his home surrounded by his loved ones. He went to his home in heaven to be with his Savior after a two year battle with brain cancer.  

  Joshua was born on October 11, 1976, in Fort Worth, Texas. He was a member of New Life Fellowship in Weatherford where he sang in the Praise Team and taught Sunday School. He graduated from Christian Academy in Ashdown, Arkansas. Joshua was an avid outdoorsman who loved to fish, hunt, camp and work with horses. Prior to his diagnosis, he owned and managed Mikey’s in Brock, Texas, and was a certified horse-shoer. He was a die-hard Dallas Cowboy fan.

  Joshua was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Jack Jones and his maternal grandparents, Don and Lurania Blackburn.  

  He is survived by his four year old son, Colt; his mother, Donna and her husband, Thomas Olguin; his father, Michael and his wife, Debbie Jones; his brothers and their spouses, Travis and Patty Jones and Zachary and LaDonna Jones; and his sister, Allyson and her husband, Mat Bailey; and by his beloved nieces and nephews.

Funeral services at 2:00 p.m., on Saturday, January 2, 2016, at The Gathering Church in Brock, Texas, 1306 Dennis Road. Burial will follow at Brock Cemetery. 

Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday evening, at the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, 913 N. Elm Street, in Weatherford.
