Joseph Perry Forbes

  Joseph Forbes, 77, of Weatherford, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, February 21, 2016, with his family by his side. Joseph was born February 13, 1939, in Royse City, Texas, to Benjamin Forbes and Lassie Jackson Forbes. He was a Petty Officer in the Navy and worked for Bell Helicopter as a tool crib attendant after his naval service. Joe enjoyed working on crossword puzzles spending time with his grandchildren and reading books in his spare time.

  Joseph is survived by his wife, Sharon Forbes of Weatherford; daughter, Karissa Storms of Weatherford; son, Michael Forbes of Crowley; sister, Judy Scoggins of Gilmer; sister, Jane Betzel of Arlington; grandson, Bryan Forbes and his wife, Ashley; grandson, Brayden Goebel; grandson, Blythe Goebel; granddaughter, Kara Storms; granddaughter, Presley Peterson; and granddaughter, Kade Kovar.

  Joseph was preceded in death by his parents; sister, June Vervalin; sister, Jean Sledge; brother, Benjamin Forbes; brother, John Forbes; and his grandson, David Forbes.
