Johnny Lee Garrett

June 27, 1960 — March 19, 2024

Johnny Lee Garrett, a devoted husband, son, father, and "PaPa", passed away on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at the age of 63. He was born on June 27, 1960, in Odessa, Texas to his loving parents, Carroll Garrett and Colleen Lanier.

The majority of his life was spent in the Automotive Industry then for the past several years he was doing farm and ranch work which was his greatest dream job. He embraced the farm life wholeheartedly, finding joy in driving his tractor and tending to the land at home alongside his loyal canine companion, Fred. Johnny's creative spirit shone brightly as he delved into crafting jewelry and knives, showcasing his artistic talents. His versatile skills and unyielding confidence allowed him to tackle any task with unwavering determination.

Above all else, Johnny's heart belonged to his two grandsons. His goal was to be the greatest PaPa on the land and he couldn’t have done a better job. They brought out his orneriness, and kept him young at heart. He had quite the sweet tooth and thought they should ALWAYS have a stash of candy wherever they went.

Johnny's legacy lives on through his loved ones; he is survived by his devoted wife, Jackie Garrett of Weatherford, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Christie and Chris Wilson; brother and sister-in-law, Bryant and Kelly Garrett; sister, Stephanie Richmond; mother and stepfather, Colleen and Dennis Lanier; grandsons, Brennen and Kyran Goolsby; nephews, Brandon Garrett and Zach Garrett; nieces, Megan Foster and Sarah Richmond; step brother, Jeff Lanier and step sister, Charlotte Lanier; and his beloved dog, Fred.

Johnny Lee Garrett will be deeply missed by all whose lives he touched throughout his lifetime. May his memory be a source of comfort and solace during this time of loss.
