Johnnie Sherwood Dyess

  Johnnie Sherwood Dyess, 68, of Dennis, passed away Wednesday, December 27, 2006, in a local hospital. Mr. Dyess was born April 4, 1938, in San Saba, a resident of Dennis for many years. He taught Math, Music, and Computer Science for 33 years between Sulphur Springs, White Settlement, Mineral Wells, Seymour, Electra and Joshua wear he retired in 1995. He loved to fish, do woodwork, raise Chihuahuas and play solitaire on the computer. 

  He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Elva Dyess, and a sister, Hilda Beasley. 

  Survivors: sons, Tony Dyess and wife, Nancy of Dennis and Randy Dyess and wife, Judy of The Colony; daughter, Gina Markel and husband, David of Azle; sisters, Doris Wall of Bertram, Elva Jo Lewis of Amarillo, Patsy Boyd of Granbury, and Lou Estill of North Richland Hills; nine grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and many nieces and nephews.
