  It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of John Thomson, age 74, of Weatherford, Texas, who passed away peacefully at home on September 6, 2026.

  John was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. He loved the Lord and his family. His love, strength, and memories will remain in the hearts of all who knew him.

  John is survived by his wife of 54 years, Susan; his son, John (Renee); grandchildren, Dallas, John (JT), and Alyssa; great-grandchildren, Danielle, Paul, Corey, Russell, and Christine; and brothers, Henry and Billy (Linda). Rejoicing in heaven with his father, John Thomson; mother, Joyce Smith; and son, Daniel Thomson.

  He will be deeply missed and forever loved.

"Until we meet again, may you ride free and rest in the arms of the Lord."

  There will be no services. The family appreciates your thoughts, prayers, and love during this difficult time.
