John Herbert Mize, 59, passed away Thursday, December 31, 2020, at VA North Texas Health Care System. John was born June 24, 1961, in Wichita Falls, Texas, to Tommy and Dana Bodine Mize. He was a U.S. Marine Corp veteran that served as a tank commander during Desert Storm. John was a long time member of North Main Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his father, Tommy Charles Mize.
John is survived by his children, Shawn Mize, Natasha Hanisko and Kirsten Mize; mother, Dana Marie Mize; brother, Terry Mize; as well as his grandchildren, Sophia Halbert, Casey Mize, Ruby Mize, and Lylah Hanisko.
A graveside service will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 8, 2021, in Oakland Cemetery, in Weatherford.
