John Frank Brolsma

John Frank Brolsma, age 89, passed from this life to his Eternal Home on Saturday, October 16, 2021, in Fort Worth, TX. John was born August 29, 1932, in Minneapolis, MN to John George Brolsma and Magdalena (Frank) Brolsma. John was a member of First Baptist Church Weatherford. He was a computer engineer by trade and also an electrician. His hobbies and interests included flying, woodworking, drilling water wells, farming, and being a general contractor/homebuilder. He was the Greatest Dad Ever.

In addition to his parents, John George and Magdalena Brolsma, John was preceded in death by his loving wife of 62 years, Agnes Lorraine (Dobbs) Brolsma, and his sister and brother-in-law, Laura and Willard Bondhus.

Left to cherish John's memory are his daughters and sons-in-law, Carol (Mark) Etlicher of Poolville, TX; Karen (Tom) Takes of Weatherford, TX; and Sandra (Jeff) Mauldin of Fort Worth, TX; grandchildren, Chris (Carrie) Takes of Hudson Oaks, TX; John Etlicher of Poolville, TX; Jeremy (Taylor) Etlicher of Fort Worth, TX; David Mauldin of Fort Worth, TX; and Peter Mauldin of Fort Worth, TX; great-grandchildren, Scarlett, Alyssa, Jackson, and George; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and extended family members spread across the United States.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 30, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, 913 N. Elm Street, Weatherford, TX, 76086.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in John's memory be made to Gideons International, P. O. Box 140800, Nashville, TN 37214-0800.
