John Patrick Ely, II

  John Patrick Ely II, age 76, passed from this life Monday, March 16, 2015, at a local hospital. John was born April 20, 1938, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to John Ely, Sr. and Mary Garrison Ely. He was a member of the Methodist Church, Member of the American Association of Petroleum Geologist, Voted Palo Pinto Father of the Year 1990, Loved Coin Collecting, Fishing, Model Trains, and his dogs.
 
  John is survived by her wife, Patricia Ely of Weatherford, Texas; daughters, Bonnie Darrah of North Richland Hills, Texas, and Diana Messer of Minnesota; sons, David Ely of Florida, Douglas Ely of Minnesota, David Whaley of Mineral Wells, William Whaley of Mineral Wells, and Mark Ely of Crowley, Texas; and sister, Sara Jane Stokes of Virginia.

   A Life Celebrating Memorial Service will be held Saturday, March 28, 2015, in the Couts United Methodist Church, at 3:00 p.m.
