John David Johns

  John David Johns, 72, died Tuesday, February 16, 2010, in a Fort Worth hospice facility. David was born December 14, 1937 in Fort Worth, to John and Irene Johns. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a retired teacher with Fort Worth ISD. David was a very talented man with a mechanical mind that loved to sing and play the guitar. 

  Mr. Johns was preceded in death by two sisters, Doris South and Francene Schramm and a brother, Boyd Johns. 

  Survivors include: wife, Doris Fae Johns of Weatherford; daughters, Donna Lynn Miller and husband, Jerry of Weatherford, Joanna Gwenn Cole of Sequin, Doris Ann Cole and husband, Chris of Weatherford and Joyce Karen Brock and husband, Adam of Jacksboro; nine grandchildren, Nathan, Amanda, Ronnie, Rachel, Julie, Jennifer, Elizabeth, Diana and James; and brothers, Lloyd and Michael Johns.

  Funeral service: 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 20, 2010, at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel. Visitation: 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, at the funeral home.
