Jimmy Edwin Smith

  Jimmy Smith, 69, of Dennis, passed away Friday, January 4, 2013, in a Dallas hospital. Jimmy was born September 5, 1943, in Dallas, Texas, to the late John and Doris Smith. He was a self-employed entrepreneur, owning and operating several businesses. He was a Shriner taking pride in participating in the trick motorcycle riding events. Jimmy attended Dennis Baptist Church, was an avid motorcyclist, pilot and race car driver. 

  He is survived by his sons, Tommy Smith of Fort Worth, Ronny Smith of Dennis, and Donny Smith and wife, Allison of Crowley; brother, Les Smith and wife, Joy of Haltom City; grandchildren, Elizabeth, Levi, Cody, Chantel, Aspen, Alec, Trenton, Kelly, and Olivia; and nine great grandchildren.

  Memorial service: 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 12, 2013, at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel.
