Jim Miles Cosby, 62, of Weatherford, passed away peacefully Friday, October 24, 2008, in a local nursing facility. Born December 3, 1944 in Cresson, Texas, he was a lifelong resident of Parker County. Jim was a retired truck driver and a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by his wife Nelda Cosby, two daughters Jerry Lynn Markalonis and Tammy Sue Hardin.
He is survived by his daughters, Lisa Cosby-Westbrook and husband, Mike of Weatherford and Becky Morgan Stout and husband, Bob of Fort Worth; granddaughters, Cheyenne McIver, Michaela Westbrook, Felicia Walton and husband, Daylan, Michelle Baker, Summer Hardin and Kendall Westbrook, all of Weatherford; grandsons, Weston Cosby, E.J. McIver, Ed McIver, Cody Westbrook, Robin Dial and wife, Stephanie, all of Weatherford, Brian Keller and wife, Randy of Springtown, Bobby Stout of Weatherford, and James Hardin and wife, Charity of Weatherford; 15 great grandchildren; dear friends, Jim Gates and Michelle Martinez; sisters, Betty Jo Burnett of Granbury, Nell Wright of Arkansas, Aranell Summey of Cleburne, and Shirley Grigsby of Cleburne; and brothers, Sam Cosby of Graford and Jon Paul Cosby of Burleson.
Graveside service: 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 28, 2008, in East Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation: 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel.
