Jewel Ruth Morse peacefully departed from this world on April 30, 2025, at the age of 88. Born on August 2, 1936, in Oklahoma City, OK, she was the cherished daughter of Clarence Plumlee and Mattie Fielding Plumlee. Jewel was raised in a devout household, with her Dad and stepmother, Ella Mae Plumlee, spreading the gospel through their ministry across various towns, instilling in her a deep faith and love for others.
Jewel’s heart was forever intertwined with that of her husband, Sidney Morse, whom she married in Springfield, MO. Their union spanned over 70 years, a testament to their commitment to one another. Known for her nurturing spirit, Jewel dedicated much of her life to caring for those around her, always embodying the essence of compassion.
Her family was her pride and joy; she delighted in playing the piano and organ, filling homes with melodious tunes. Jewel also had a profound appreciation for wildlife and an unwavering commitment to shining the light of Jesus through her acts of love and kindness. Her infectious laughter brought warmth to all who knew her, and her joyful declarations of "Thank you Jesus" and "Bless your heart" echoed through the hearts of her family and friends.
Jewel is preceded in death by her beloved husband Sidney Lee Morse, her parents, sisters Daisy Isiebell Myers and Hazel Juanita Anderson, and her precious children, Kimberly Diane Morse and baby boy Stanley Lee Morse.
She leaves behind a loving family that includes her devoted daughter, Brenda Eaton and husband Bill; her son, Darrell Morse; cherished grandchildren Jeremy and wife Amanda, Caleb and wife Jennifer, and Jason; as well as loving great-grandchildren. Jewel was adored by her special nephews and niece, Larry Myers, Steve Myers, and Mrs. Cheryl Rankin and husband Joe, along with her sister-in-laws Judie Fain and husband Jimmy, and Debbie Patitucci. She also embraced her daughter-in-love, Maria Nolen, and many nieces, nephews, and friends who will carry her legacy forward.
The family expresses heartfelt gratitude for the loving guidance of Reverend Glenn A. Pierce and Kay Pierce of Perrin Assembly of God, and extends a special thank you to Director Gina and the caring staff at Autumn Hill Manor Assisted Living for their compassionate support.
To honor Jewel’s remarkable life, a visitation will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2025, from 9 AM to 12 PM at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel in Weatherford, TX. Jewel Ruth Morse will be deeply missed, but her spirit will forever illuminate the lives she touched.
