Jerry Wayne Young

  Jerry Wayne Young, 59, of Weatherford, passed away Thursday, February 4, 2010, in a local hospital. Jerry was born May 21, 1950 to James and Maurine Young. He was a retired truck driver and a member of Greenwood Baptist Church. Jerry was active in the Greenwood Volunteer Fire Department, where he served as a past Chief. 

  He was preceded in death by his father. 

  Survivors include his wife, Florence “Charlie”; daughter, Robin Beets and husband, Jon of San Antonio; sons, Joe Young and John Young and wife, Angie, all of Weatherford; mother, Maurine Jackson of Weatherford; brothers, Terry Young of Bridgeport, James K. Young, Jr. of Fort Worth, and Bill Young of Summerfield, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Ashley, Reneé, Lauren, Ariana, and Callie; and great grandchildren, Alyzea and Tyler. 

  Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, February 8, 2010, at Greenwood Baptist Church, interment will follow in Greenwood Community Cemetery. Visitation will be 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home.
