Jeffery Scott Brannon

August 7, 1966 - January 18, 2026

On January 18, 2026, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, called Jeffery "Jeff" Scott Brannon home at the age of 59, leaving behind a lasting legacy of love, warmth, and cherished memories. Born in Union, South Carolina, on August 7, 1966, to Walter Lee Brannon and Janice Ruth Inman-Brannon-Kilpatrick, Jeff's life was a shining example of devotion, resilience, and unwavering love of his family. With the help and support of his wife, Cosette "Cozy" Lou Brannon, Jeff co-owned Co-Z Air, an HVAC business, a labor of love, named after and dedicated to her, in Weatherford, Texas for over 15 years. He was a devoted businessman and built the company from the ground up after getting his footing in the industry at a young age.

Jeff graduated from Killeen High School in 1985. He began his career in HVAC at the age of 13 when he started working for his family HVAC business, Kilpatrick Heating and Air. He later attended technical college classes in HVAC. As a young boy, Jeff was involved with Boy Scouts, and many sports including baseball, basketball, wrestling, and even bull riding in high school.

Jeff met the love of his life, Cozy Brannon, in 1988 while she was a student at Tarleton State University in Stephenville. He began working at Lightfoot Mechanical in Weatherford, Texas in 1989 so that he could be closer to her. They began their happily ever after life together May 26, 1990, when they were married at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Killeen, Texas. They made their life together in Parker County, living in Weatherford and then later moving to Brock, Texas in 1993. He went to work at Tuffy's Air Conditioning company in 2000 before starting his own company in 2010.

Jeff wasn't just defined by his career, he was defined by his enthusiasm for life and love for his ever-growing family. He was a formidable patriarch with three children and four grandchildren. In addition to being a devoted, loving, and loyal husband, father, and grandfather, he was also a fiercely loyal friend to many. He loved spending time with family and friends, especially hunting, snow skiing, golfing, boating, and wake surfing. He was always willing to help a friend in need, as he was blessed with the ability to "fix anything" and loved to prove it. He was very proud of his three boys, Colton Dale Brannon (34), Collin Lee Brannon (29), and Gavin Scott Brannon (14) and the young men/fathers they have become.

Jeff is preceded in death by his parents, Walter Lee Brannon-killed in action in Vietnam and Janice Ruth Inman-Brannon-Kilpatrick.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 35 years, Cosette "Cozy" Lou McCullough Brannon; his son Colton Dale Brannon and wife Melissa Bethany Perkins-Brannon of Brock, TX; his son Collin Lee Brannon and wife Laura Elizabeth Eikel Brannon of Dickinson, TX; his son Gavin Scott Brannon of Brock, TX; his brother Walter Brannon and wife Connie (Cody) of Copperas Cove, TX; his sister Penny Giccatti (Kyle) and Angel Brannon (Kayla, Justin, and Courtney) of Killeen, TX; his brother Walter "Nickel" Kilpatrick (Kenley and Korbyn) of Killeen, TX; his sister Jackie Kilpatrick and her husband Jon (Brayden and Cannen) of Killeen, TX; his step-sister Elizabeth Rousar and her husband Dale (Ashten and Amber) of Nolanville, TX; his step-sister Barbara Turner and her husband Billy (Trey and Jace) of Temple, TX; his step-father Tom Kilpatrick of Killeen, TX; his mother-in-law and father-in-law Nancy and Gene Martinka of Killeen, TX; his brother-in-law Steven McCullough and wife Jeanne (Jessica and Tyler) of Ft. Walton Beach, FL; his sister-in-law Gene-a Salvati and her husband Adam (Sara and Caroline) of Killeen, TX; his sister-in-law Jauna Cothran (Kemble and Nate) of Georgetown, TX; his brother-in-law Jarret Martinka and his wife Becky (Tyler and Jacob) of Georgetown, TX; his grandchildren Kimber Elise Brannon (6), Silas Rowyn-Tyler Brannon (3), Jeffery Miller Brannon (1), and Elizabeth "Elsie" Lee Brannon (11 months); and many loyal friends, employees and members of his community. Subsequently, Jeff's mother-in-law, Nancy Martinka, was called home to Jesus to join him on January 25, 2026.

Jeff had a way with people, and they gravitated toward him as he always had some witty comment to break the ice. Even strangers couldn't help but love him. His confidence, energy and lust for life were unparalleled. Those who knew him will miss him dearly.

In lieu of flowers the family is asking for donations to the National Bleeding Disorders Foundation (NBDF) as all three of Jeff's sons and both granddaughters are affected by hemophilia, a bleeding disorder.
