Jason E. Jarratt

June 15, 1965 — November 10, 2023

Jason E. Jarratt, age 58, passed away on November 10, 2023, in Fort Worth. He was born on June 15, 1965, to Earl and Judy K. Jarratt in San Angelo, Texas.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Elicia Kay Jarratt of 38 beautiful years; children, Brice Jarratt and his wife, Amy, and Maggie Weidhas and her husband, Greg; and his precious grandchildren, Sutton Kay Weidhas and Oren Charles Weidhas. He is also survived by his parents, Earl Jarratt and Judy K. Penton; sister, Jodie McCarty; and brother, John Varner and his wife, Pam; along with numerous in-laws, nieces, and nephews.

Jason “Pop-Pop” Jarratt was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and devoted follower of Christ. He loved serving those around him and did it without needing any recognition. He was a deacon and served Southside Church of Christ for years making sure the needs of the church were met and doing the jobs that other people didn’t want to do without any recognition.

Jason was an avid outdoorsman his entire life. He loved spending time fishing and hunting whenever he could, spending many weekends in the dove field and the deer blind sometimes just to watch the sunrise. He loved to fix and tinker with things, always willing to repair or build whatever my mom dreamed up. Later in life Jason found a new passion in shooting sporting clays, spending many days out on the course with his son and new friends he made along the way.

Jason lived life with a passion for those around him, never missing an opportunity to spend time with his wife, children, and grandchildren. He never said no to those in need and always shared his knowledge freely to anyone who needed his help.

A celebration of life service will be held on Wednesday, November 15th, 2023, at 11:30 a.m. The service will be held at Southside Church of Christ, located at 2101 Hemphill St., in Fort Worth, Texas 76110.
