Janis "Kathy" Kathleen Forbes

  Janis Kathleen "Kathy" Forbes, age 81, peacefully departed from this life on February 27, 2026. She was born on August 25, 1944, in Fort Worth, Texas, to Raymond Bruce Edmonds and Opal Lucille (Reedy) Edmonds Cotton.

  Janis lived a fulfilling life as a devoted homemaker and a dedicated Christian, who found joy in her Bible studies. She was a beloved wife, mother, and sister, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew her.

  Janis was preceded in death by her cherished husband, Allen Forbes, Jr., as well as her parents, Raymond Edmonds and Lucille Cotton.

  She is survived by her son, Raymond A. Forbes of Weatherford, Texas, along with her brother and sister, and other loving family members.

  At this time, there are no services scheduled. Janis will be deeply missed and remembered fondly by her family and friends.
