Janet Louise Therens (Wilson) went to be with the Lord on April 29, 2019.
Interment will be at the Dallas - Fort Worth National Cemetery, located at 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, Texas on May 1, 2019, at 11:15 a.m. There will be a Celebration of Life at Cantrells Corner located at 415 W. Couts in Weatherford from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Janet was born in Marshall, Michigan on March 21, 1932. She raised six children while traveling all over the world with her husband while he served in the Army. Later, they settled in Fort Worth, Texas and then in Weatherford, where they raised Boxer puppies. She was very active in her children and grandchildren’s lives. She never missed a sporting event a school event or a band activity. Janet worked at the Weatherford College Book store for many years. She was a loving wife, mother, Granny, Nana, and girlfriend to all. Janet was an avid reader and crossword puzzle player. She loved to crochet, needlepoint and collected pens and Eeyore's from Winnie the Pooh. Janet loved everything butterflies and cardinals.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward J. Therens (Boompa), and son, Bruce E. Therens.
Survivors include daughters, Debbie Therens Davis and husband, George Davis, of New Caney, Texas, Candy Therens Benton and late husband, Terry Wayne Benton, of Weatherford, and Carol Lynn Therens, of Colorado; and sons, Edward C Therens (Rabbit) of Weatherford and Mark A. Therens of Euless. She is survived by 11 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
Mom, when we see a Butterfly, we'll think of you and smile. You will be dearly missed by all...
