Leta Jane (Day) Fisher, age 95, passed peacefully from this life on Wednesday, October 7, 2026. Jane was born on August 30, 1931, in Millsap, Texas, to Nathan Day and Victoria (Jones) Day. Raised with strong values of faith and hard work, she carried those principles with her throughout her life.
Above all else, Jane was devoted to her family. As a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she embraced the role of homemaker with dedication. In addition to caring for her family, Jane faithfully served her community through her work as a bookkeeper in Snyder, Texas.
A faithful member of Hillcrest Church of Christ, Jane's gracious nature left a lasting impression on all who knew her. She loved researching her family genealogy, preserving family history for future generations. Also, she was an excellent cook, enjoyed tending her garden, and spending peaceful hours reading.
Jane is survived by her beloved husband of 76 years, Lynn Fisher of Fort Worth, Texas; her children, David Fisher, Karen Fisher, Steven Fisher, and Suzanne Fisher; her grandchildren, Bethany Fortner, Tracer Greear, Sol Greear, Jewlyet Greear, and Michael Owens; and her great-granddaughter, Wren Fortner.
Jane's memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, who were blessed to know and love her.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, at Memory Gardens of the Valley Cemetery in Weatherford, Texas.
"Her children arise and call her blessed." Proverbs 31:28
