James Weldon Sampley, 79, of Weatherford, passed away Monday, April 18, 2011. Weldon was born October 8, 1931, in Mineral Wells, to Annie Bell and Dru Wesley Sampley.
Mr. Sampley was a retiree of Universal Compressions in Mineral Wells. He was veteran of the Korean War and member of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his wife, Naomi Grace; children and their spouses, Naomi Joy Westbrook, Kay Hull and Frank Donald Freeman; siblings and their spouses, Katty Daniels, Charles Sampley, Vernon Sampley and Frances Sampley; grandchildren and their spouses, Robby Freeman, Thomas Nelson, Patrick Dewayne, Ted, Stewart, Brittany Cloud and Cynthia Westbrook; and great grandchildren, J.C., McKayla, Kindal and Brenton.
A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Thursday, at Zion Hill Cemetery.
