James Tyre, 53, passed away at home Sunday, July 6, 2014. Born and raised in Weatherford by Chester and LaVerne Scoville; James was born August 17, 1960. “Daddy James” as he was affectionately known, worked for Chemical Dynamics as a chemical miller / fabricator. He was a member of Victory Baptist Church. He will be sadly missed.
Daddy James leaves behind his wife Irene; sons Richard Jenkins and wife Tammy of OK, Scotty Watson of Weatherford, David Gintz of LA; daughters Alice Reeves of Mineral Wells, Jessica McKelbey of Chandler TX, Bernie Steele of NE, Ellen Bowser of Weatherford; 25 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; sister in law Liz Carson; brother in law David Calhoun, Douglas Drake, Dale Drake, Joel Drake; nieces Tonya Carter, Gina Hallet, Vanessa Calhoun, Sarah Harney; nephew Joe Verschuren; and several great nieces and nephews and many special friends including Brenda Dilley, Jerry and Marilyn Carter. He was preceded in death by his parents Chester and LaVerne Scoville.
A memorial service will be Saturday, July 12, 2014 at The Texas Opry Theater in Weatherford TX at 5:00 p.m.
