James Timothy Smith

  James Timothy Smith was born in Weatherford, Texas July 17th, 1958, to James Arthur Smith and Eddie Elizabeth Mitchell. He died at his residence in Fort Worth, Texas, on December 12th, 2021, at the age of 63. Services to be held at the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel located on 913 N. Elm Street Weatherford, Texas 76086, on Saturday, December 18th, at 5:00 p.m. No graveside services.

  James “Tim” was preceded in death by his biological mother, Eddie Elizabeth Mitchell, and by his father, James Arthur Smith, and his step-mother, Faye Smith of Carbon, Texas. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Janice Savage and brother, Arthur “Art” Smith of Eastland. 

  Tim was survived by his son, James Brian Smith and Brian’s wife, Sandra Smith of Fort Worth, Texas; and his daughter, Jamie Lynn Miller and Jamie’s husband, Quin Miller also of Fort Worth, Texas. Tim was also survived by his sister, Sherry Elizabeth Elsik of Hubbard and niece, Cindy and Cameron Price of Groesbeck, Texas; great nieces, Madison, Chey, and Allie. Tim had 6 grandchildren Jordan Ross, Logan and Claire, Colt, Drake and Aston.

  He was also survived by several cousins; nieces and nephews; Kristy Kennedy and family from Weatherford, Donald Savage of Weatherford, Danny Lee Smith and family from Eastland Texas, Eric Smith and Traci Arzola of Eastland. Tim was also survived by his stepsisters, Janet Girtz and Joe Ann Foley; and niece, Angie Murdock, and family; and Jason Girtz.

  Tim was from the little town of Carbon; Texas. He graduated from Carbon High School in 1977. He was an all-star football player for Carbon High; was homecoming king a few times and participated in numerous other activities. Tim moved to Weatherford; Texas; after graduating from High School in 1977. He went to work for Jamak Fabrication and worked there for many years making lots of memories and long- time friends. You will always be in our hearts.
