James “Sprinkler Man” Smith, 69, of Aledo, passed away January 9, 2020. Visitation will be held Monday, January 13, 2020, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and a service will follow on Tuesday, January 14, 2020, at Galbreaith Pickard Chapel, with burial at Annetta Cemetery.
James was born in Alton, Illinois, to his parents, James H. Smith and Jane Smith. After high school, James graduated from UTA. He was a member of MENSA. For many years, James owned and ran Sprinkler Man Irrigation Systems in the Parker County area. James was well known in the community and he will be greatly missed.
James is survived by his wife, Delene, of 21 years in marriage, Aledo; daughters, Bethany Smith, of West Palm Beach, Florida, Candace, and Osy Rangel, of Irving; son, Jake and Jacee Mills, of Midland; sister, Lynda Klawiter, of St. Louis, Missouri; brother, David and Barbara Smith, of Avondale, New Jersey; three grandchildren, Grady Dean, Nehemiah, and Lazarus; many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his son, Jeremy Smith; parents, James and Jane; and brother, Brad Smith.
