James Roy Pickering

  James Roy Pickering, age 56, of Everman, died Thursday morning, October 2, 2014, in Fort Worth. Born February 9, 1958, in Fort Worth, Texas. 

  James worked for Southwest Beverage Company, was a Christian, liked to tinker in his workshop and was an avid reader. He served as a staff Sgt. in the Air Force for six years and was honored as the Honor Man of Honor Flight during Basic Training. 

  He was preceded in death by his father. 

  Survivors include his mother, Dorothy Pickering of Brock; sisters, Karon Pickering of Biloxi, Mississippi and Gretchen Buchanan of Helotes; brother, David Pickering of Brock; several nieces and nephews; and his good friend, Frank Folbre.

Graveside service: 2:00 p.m., Monday, October 6, 2014, in the Brock Cemetery
