James Odell Maxwell, 79, of Fort Worth, passed away Thursday, July 8, 2021. James was born February 18, 1942, in Waco, Texas, to Vernon and Trudie Christian Maxwell. He proudly and honorably served in the U.S. Navy. James was a drywall contractor and a member of Inspiration Baptist Church in Fort Worth.
He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Dorothy Atchley, Buster Maxwell, Wayne Maxwell, Glynn Maxwell, and Norman Harlan Maxwell.
James is survived by brother, Ray Maxwell and wife, Juanita of Granbury; daughters, Dorothy Ann Maxwell of Australia, Patricia Sanchez of California, and Kelly McCormick Chase of Lubbock; grandsons, Garrett and Brian Chase; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 13, 2021, at the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, with a funeral service immediately following at 12:00 p.m.
