James Ausborn Littlepage, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 2, 2026, at the age of 83. Born on August 26, 1942, in Haskell, Texas, he was the son of James L. Littlepage and Bertha (Sanders) Littlepage.
James dedicated many years of service to the Sanitation Department for the City of Mineral Wells, where he took pride in his work. In his free time, he found simple joy in fishing and playing dominoes - pastimes that brought him both relaxation and connection with others.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Connie Littlepage; granddaughter, Rachelle Baker; and several siblings.
James will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 62 years, Betty Sue Littlepage of Mineral Wells, Texas; his children, James Littlepage, Jr. and wife, Estee, of Bedford, Texas, Karen Baker of Fort Worth, Texas, Kimberly Richards and husband, Russell, of Mineral Wells, and April Kidwell of Newark, Texas.
He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren, Brandon Littlepage, Brittany Buegeler, Breeanna Gaynor, Kaleb Baker, Ryan Richards, Kennady Richards, Landen Richards, Jacob James, Lucas James, and Amelia Kidwell; and his great-grandchildren, Phenix Littlepage, Hendrix Littlepage, Troymell Watson, Cori Watson, Ariah Gaynor, Ryder Richards, and Ruben Richards, each of whom brought him great pride and joy.
He is further survived by his siblings, Wanda Howard, Juanita King, and Donald Littlepage, along with many extended family members and friends.
A funeral service honoring James’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at Mineral Wells Church of God, 2501 SE 14th Avenue, Mineral Wells, Texas. Burial will follow at Graford Cemetery, 360 Holt Road, Graford, Texas.
Family and friends are warmly invited to attend and celebrate a life well lived.
