James "Jim" Henry Bowens, Jr.

  James “Jim” Henry Bowens, Jr., 45, of Weatherford, died Sunday, March 1, 2009, as a result of an accident. Jim was born March 29, 1963, in Jacksonville, Florida. He was a field mechanic for W.W. Weber Company, a firefighter for the Justin Volunteer Fire Department, he loved hunting and collecting firearms and was always a character, he never met a stranger. 

  Jim is survived by his daughter, Cheyenne Bowens of Ponder; sons, Duston Bowens and Michael Bowens, both of Weatherford; step sons, David Ellison and Jordan Baker of Ponder; mother, Toni Posey of Weatherford; father, James Bowens, Sr. of Missouri City; sisters, Denise Wallace of Weatherford, Debra Jordon of Weatherford, and Rebecca Staggs of Coleman; brother, Ted Bowens of Hudson Oaks; numerous other family and friends. 

Funeral service 1:00 p.m., Thursday, March 5, 2009, in the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel.

Interment in the Annetta Cemetery.

Visitation 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, at the funeral home.
