James "J.D." Mooney

James Dwight Mooney, 77, a devoted husband, father, and heck of a grandpa and great-grandpa passed away Sunday, March 26, 2017. He was born January 20, 1940 to Earl and Mary Mabel Baugh Mooney. J.D. was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church, a 50 year Mason and Shriner. He owned Mooney Construction since 1961. J.D. loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing and going to “feed the Gals”.

Survivors include wife Sandra Morgan Mooney; daughters Shelly Renae Coalson and husband Greg, Terri Lynn Harless and husband Keith; sons Jerald Dwight Mooney and wife Michelle, Jeffery Dwayne Mooney and wife Michelle; grandchildren Casey Willmott, Lauren Coalson, Brittany Couch, Erin Harless, Ian Coalson, Dayton Mooney and Bryson Mooney; great-granddaughter ShaeLynn Willmott; sisters Mary Ann Hodges and Nelda Jane Luster; brother Earl Dwayne Mooney; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation is 6-8 pm Tuesday at Galbreaith-Pickard Funeral Chapel. Funeral Service will be 10 am, Wednesday, March 29 at Shady Grove Baptist Church with burial following at Memory Gardens Cemtery.
