James D. Brown

  James D. “Jim” Brown, 85, of Weatherford, passed away on December 31, 2019.

  A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2019, at North Side Baptist Church, beginning at 10:00 a.m., followed by burial at Necessity Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday evening, at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel.

  Jim was born on October 28, 1934, to the late Robert Lee and Lillar Cox Brown, in Fort Worth, Texas. He married Margaret Brown in 1954, and together they had three children. Jim enjoyed fishing and golfing. He was very active in the church as a Deacon and Sunday School Teacher for North Side Baptist. Above all, Jim loved to spend time with his family.

  He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret; parents; two brothers; and two sisters.

  Survivors include his wife, Naomi Brown; sons, Troy Lee Brown (Catherine) and James Darran Brown; daughter, Vicky Lynn Parker (Steve); and many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and loving friends.
