Jacob Meyer Hamm, 92, of Weatherford, passed away Monday morning in the local hospital. Jacob was born January 17, 1918 in Lonoke, Arkansas, to Charles Edward and Zilpah Harris Hamm.
Mr. Hamm was a Veteran of WWII and the Korean Conflict serving in the U.S. Navy for 20 years, as a Fireman. He then became a civil servant working as a supply clerk.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Lanier Miller Hamm; and siblings, Edward Barton Hamm, Charles William Hamm, Joseph Louie Hamm, and Margaret Hamm Campbell.
Survivors include nephews, Charles Buddy Hamm and wife, Louise of Lonoke, Arkansas, Eddie Campbell and wife, Felicia of Huntsville, Arkansas, Judy King and husband, Johnny and Peggy Pearson, all of Lonoke, Arkansas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, in East Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation is from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, at the funeral home.
