Jack R. Copeland

  Jack R. Copeland, 77, of Weatherford, went to be with the Lord following a long illness on Sunday, June 5, 2011. Jack was born December 7, 1933, in Chilton, Texas, to John and Mary Copeland. He was a Private, E2 in the U.S. Army, retired from Bell Helicopter after 30 years of service and was a member of Garner Baptist Church. 

  Mr. Copeland was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, and two brothers.

  Survivors: wife, Shirley Copeland of Weatherford; daughter, Jana Ford and husband, Clay of Weatherford; sisters, Francis Tadlock of Rowlett and Laverne Birkes of Waco; brother, Rusty Copeland of Waco; one grandson, Bobby Hodges; and numerous nieces, nephews, and good friends.

  Funeral service 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 8, 2011, at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel. Interment in Dicey Cemetery. Visitation 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel.
