J. L. Olds, Jr.

  James “J.L.” Olds, Jr., 86, died Sunday, April 18, 2010, at his residence in Mineral Wells. J.L. was born September 2, 1923 in Van Alstyne, Texas, to James Lawrence and Ruby Jewel Olds. In 1946 J.L. married Virginia “Ginny” Louise Rayburn. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church, loved helping others, he was a retired grain mill superintendent from Imperial Flax Mills of California, and an Army/Air Force Veteran.
 
  Survivors: wife of 64 years, Ginny Olds of Mineral Wells; sisters, Sally Walters of Weatherford and Margaret Chandler of Weatherford; brother, Jack Dale Olds of Mineral Wells; numerous nieces and nephews.
 
  Funeral service 10:00 a.m., Friday, April 23, 2010, in the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel. Interment in East Greenwood.
 
  In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made the American Heart Association.
