Hazel Jones

Hazel Jones, 82, of Weatherford, Texas passed away October 29, 2023, with family by her side. She was born in Altus, Oklahoma to Tom and Bobbie Johnson. The family moved to Weatherford, Texas where she graduated from Weatherford High School and retired from Weatherford College. Hazel treasured her family. She was our “go-to” when life got rough, our sanity in this crazy world, and our comfort when we needed clarity. She was always someone we could count on, always listened, and never judged.

We will miss your laughs, your hugs, conversations, and voice but you will always be in our hearts.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Bobbie Johnson; brothers, Jerry Don Johnson and Tommie Johnson; and the love of her life, Richard Jones.

Hazel is survived by two daughters, Debbie Melton (Rex) and Robin Riebe; son, Marlin Daugherty, Jr. (Tracy); grandsons, Leben Riebe (Michael) and Ty Riebe (Caitlin); great grandsons, Briggs Riebe and Grae Riebe; her loving cat, Lily; and several nieces and nephews.

A very special thanks to Leben Riebe and Michael Lopez for the loving and devoted care you gave to NaNa.

A come-and-go memorial service will be held Sunday, November 12, 2023, between 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., at Remington Ridge, 360 Kirkpatrick Drive, Weatherford, Texas 76086.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to her favorite charity, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
