Hardy Brown Chain

August 28, 1916 — June 5, 2007

  Hardy B. Chain, 90, of Weatherford, died Tuesday, June 5, 2007, in a Fort Worth nursing home. Born August 28, 1916, in Mississippi, he lived in Bastrop, Louisiana, before moving to Parker County. Hardy was a local crane operator and he loved to hunt and fish. 

  He was preceded in death by his wife, Lois Chain in 2003, and a daughter, Nelldean Farmer.   

  Hardy is survived by his daughters, Bobbie Shirley and husband, David of Weatherford, and Joyce Houston and husband, Don of Azle; sister, Dorothy Choate of Rolling Fork, Mississippi; brother, Carl Chain of Bastrop, Louisiana; seven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren. 

  Graveside service: 2:00 p.m., Thursday, June 7, 2007, in Annetta Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel.
