Glyn Wayne Rhodes

Glyn Wayne Rhodes, 68, was called home by Jesus in his peace and love on Sunday, January 14, 2024. Glyn was born December 23, 1955, in Fort Worth, Texas to the late Cecil Rhodes and Bonnie (Robison) Rhodes. He was a supervisor and truck driver for TXI, where he did a little bit of everything.

Glyn was an inspiration to those around him and touched many lives throughout his lifetime; he had a strength and a gift that allowed him to surpass many odds that were stacked against him. To know him was to love him.

Glyn loved music and watching television. Most of all, he loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren with all of his heart. You might not be able to get him to go shopping for long periods of time, but you could bet that he would sit through an entire day of pageants if it meant being there for his grandchildren. Glyn absolutely adored his family.

Glyn is survived by his beloved wife, Margaret Darlene Rhodes of Fort Worth, Texas; daughter, Katrina Rhodes; daughter and her husband, Sabrina and George Tucker; son and his wife, Ray and Melanie Mitchell; son and his wife, Lee and Courtney Mitchell; son, Jonathan Rhodes; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sister, Lucille Falls; brothers and sisters-in-law, Steve and Terri Rhodes, and Joe and Renette Rhodes; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Glyn will be missed and his memory treasured by his family and close friends. No services are scheduled at this time.
