Gloria F. Meza, age 90, departed peacefully from this life on Friday, June 5, 2026.
Above all, Gloria loved the Lord with all her heart and lived her life as a reflection of that faith.
To know Gloria was to know love, kindness, faith, and grace. Her family could fill a book with the many beautiful qualities that made her so special. Above all, Gloria loved the Lord with all her heart and lived her life as a reflection of that faith. She was a devoted wife to the love of her life, Eudoro Meza Jr., sharing 71 wonderful years of marriage together. She was also a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother whose greatest joy was her family.
Gloria had a special gift for writing poetry and found joy in sharing God's Word with others through her cherished scripture page, "Daily Word of God." She loved reading, collecting beautiful dog figurines, and living a healthy lifestyle. Whether preparing wholesome meals, dressing with elegance and class, or offering words of encouragement, Gloria had a remarkable way of making everyone feel valued, special, and deeply loved.
Her gentle spirit, unwavering faith, and selfless love created a legacy that will continue to live on through the countless lives she touched. Her family remains forever grateful for the blessings of her life and the precious memories they shared. Gloria will be dearly missed, forever loved, and always cherished.
Gloria was preceded in death by her son, David R. Meza; her parents, Francisca Rivera Farias and Edelmiro Farias; and by her siblings, Andres Farias, Tito Farias, and Flavio Farias.
Gloria is survived by her husband, Eudoro Meza Jr.; her children, Maria G. Bailey, Adiel Meza (Naomi), Jesse Meza, Elvia Meza, and Sandra Rivera (Carlos); her grandchildren, Miranda (Bruce), Matt (Tanya), Sara (Tim), Elisabeth (Cody), Angela, Deñia Sheran (Carlos), Adiel Jr. (Kelsey), Michael Andrew Meza, Nathanael, Danny Flores (Alex), Ritchy Flores, Tony Flores (Megan), Sammy Flores (Bethany), Gabby Loiacano, Carlos Rivera Jr. (Daniela), Israel Rivera (Jordan), and David Rivera; her great grandchildren, Jocelyn, Trentin, Cameron, Anderson, Addison, Easton, Kelbi, Chancellor, Brooks, Elliott, Merritt, Tyler, Avery, Kinley Meza, Grayson Meza, Mila Jane Meza, Aubri, Elijah, Cove, Dyllan, Descia, Celina, Judah, Ezra, Rowan, and Remi; and her great-great grandchildren, Miles and Lainey. Gloria is also survived by her siblings, Adolfo Farias and Victor Farias (Rosa).
A Rosary followed by a time of visitation will be held Thursday, June 11, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, 913 N. Elm Street, Weatherford, Texas 76086.
A Mass honoring Gloria's life will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 12, 2026, at St. Stephen Catholic Church, 1802 Bethel Road, Weatherford, Texas 76086. Burial will follow at East Greenwood Cemetery in Weatherford.
