Glenna Marcene Jones, 84, of Aledo, Texas, passed peacefully from this life on Saturday, May 30, 2026.
Born on September 6, 1941, in Pampa, Texas, Glenna was the daughter of William Lewis and La Vera (Wilson) Lewis. From an early age, she embraced a life of faith and service. Glenna was a woman of strength and determination, known for her welcoming spirit of hospitality and her ability to make every person feel seen and valued. Her greatest fulfillment came from her roles as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, homemaker, and faithful servant of the Lord.
For more than 40 years, Glenna and her husband served side by side as a team, teaching 1st and 2nd grade Sunday School at their church. They were longtime members of Quail Springs Baptist Church, where Glenna’s faith shone through ministry to others - listening to others share their problems and concerns, offering prayers, hugs, and words of encouragement. She was known for enjoying the simple pleasures of life such as dancing to upbeat music, working daily in her flower garden, and sipping on a fountain Coca-Cola.
Those left to honor her memory include her loving husband, David Jones of Aledo, Texas; sons, Jeff Jones of Edmond, Oklahoma, and Jared Jones of Del City, Oklahoma; daughters, Julie Tillman and husband, David of Aledo, Texas, and Corrie Mangan and husband, David of St. Louis, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Harrison Tillman, Brendan Tillman, Tristan Horton, Victoria Jones, Christopher Jones, Amelia Mangan, and Charlotte Mangan; and her brother, Monty Lewis.
Glenna will be deeply missed and forever remembered for the beautiful legacy she leaves behind - a legacy of faith, love, kindness, and unwavering devotion to her family and friends. Her life touched many hearts, and the memories she created will live on in all who knew and loved her.
A graveside service will begin at 10:00 a.m., on Friday, June 12, 2026, at the Annetta Cemetery in Annetta, Texas, where Glenna will be laid to rest.
