  Gerard Anthony Spataro, age 62, of Weatherford entered peacefully into the presence of the Lord early Monday morning, March 14, 2011, at his residence surrounded by loved ones. He was born June 22, 1948 in Queens, New York. Mr. Spataro was self employed, member of the Catholic Church and a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He attended New York Phoenix, a subsidiary of NYU, loved to read, fish and enjoyed drawing cartoons as he was an art major but most of all enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren who knew him as “Grumpa.” 

  The family would like to express thanks to all the doctors, nurses and staff at the UT Southwestern Medical Center for their extended care provided to him during his two heart transplants. 

  Survivors: wife, Marsha Spataro of Weatherford; daughters, Cathy Aleff and husband, Clinton of Weatherford and Lori Barton and husband, Ryan of Weatherford; and four grandchildren, Kenzie, Gage, Avery, Kade. 

  Rosary/Visitation will be 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., on Thursday, March 17, 2011, at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel. Funeral Mass will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 18, 2011, at Holy Redeemer Catholic Parish in Aledo, Texas. Interment will be immediately following mass at the Annetta Cemetery. Memorials may be sent to American Heart Association in honor of Mr. Spataro.
 
   Mr. Spataro will be missed and cherished by all! We love you Daddy!!!
