Georgia Ruth Yates, 79, of Poolville, passed away June 11, 2017. She was born June 4, 1938, to Finnis and Gladys Ruland, in Weatherford. Georgia was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. She adored all her grandchildren.
Georgia was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Faith.
Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Lowell Yates; sons, Daniel Jonathan Yates and Steve Yates and wife, Tammy; seven grandchildren, Brandon Yates, Kelley Yates, Shawn Harrington, Tylere Yates, Ashlee Yates, Danielle Childers, and Noah Anderson; nine great-grandchildren; sister, Gertrude Queen; brother, Jim Ruland and wife, Earlene; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday evening at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, at Cross Timbers Bible Church with burial following at Zion Hill Cemetery.
