Geneva Gerldeen Wilks

  Geneva Gerldeen (Howard) Wilks was born November 26, 1927, in Parker County, to Willie J. Howard and Lola Lee Howard. She took her last breath July 4, 2017 at 2:45 p.m. She married J. L. Wilks August 11, 1951, in Dallas. He preceded her in death in September 1994. She worked at dry goods stores in her early life. The last 30 years she helped J.L. paint houses. She spent the last 22 years of her life doing what Jehovah’s Witnesses do, sharing the good news of the Kingdom with everyone she talked to. 

  She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; one brother, Russell Howard; and one sister, Nancy Dickson.

  Survivors include two sisters, Earnesteen Cude of Weatherford and Loretta Leed of Crossville, Tennessee; three nieces; two nephews; and a host of great and great-great nieces and nephews.

  A memorial service will be 5 pm, Sunday, July 9, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
