  Gary Willis, born on July 6, 1943, in Fort Worth, Texas, passed away peacefully on June 12, 2025, in Weatherford, Texas. He dedicated his life to both his family and his career, serving with pride at the Comanche Peak Nuclear Power Plant

  Gary was a veteran who dedicated many years of his life to the military, serving in both the Marines and the Army. His commitment to service and duty set a profound example for those around him and instilled a sense of pride in his family and friends.

  A man of diverse interests, Gary was passionate about golf, enjoyed spending time at the gun range, and found joy in fishing and building model airplanes. He was also an active participant in several community clubs, including Cowboy Action Shooting, the Parker County Sportsman Club, and the Weatherford Model Airplane Club. His contributions to these clubs reflected his enthusiasm for hobbies that fostered camaraderie and community spirit.

  Gary is survived by his beloved wife, Peggy Willis; daughter, Shannon Holyfield, and her husband, Eddie Holyfield; and grandson, Brennan Holyfield. He is also survived by his brother, Wes Willis.

  Gary was preceded in death by his mother, Myrtie Mae Willis; father, Samuel Willis; and sister, Diane Hornell. His legacy of love and devotion will continue to resonate through the lives he touched.

  A graveside service for family and friends will be held on June 17, 2025, at Whitt Cemetery, located at 10481 Lone Star Road, Weatherford, Texas 76088, beginning at 10:00 a.m. The family invites all who knew and loved Gary to join them in celebrating his life and the lasting impact he had on those around him.
