Freida Millie Kirkland, age 87, of Weatherford, passed away on Wednesday, December 26, 2007. She was born April 5, 1920, in Fort Towson, Oklahoma, a resident of Weatherford for several years. Nanny was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend. She shared her life with anyone in need and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Freida was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Lee Kirkland and a son, H. L. Kirkland, Jr.
Survivors: sons, James Kirkland and wife, Susie, and Michael Kirkland and wife, Candy; daughter, Juretta Wells and husband, John; eight grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; sisters, Jaunell Harris and Nancy Jo Parsons; and numerous other family members and many friends.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 31, 2007, in the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, with interment in Memory Gardens. Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Sunday, December 30, 2007, at the funeral home.
