To know Frank was to love him and his admirable personality. He was not only a loving husband, father, and brother, but also a mentor, a problem solver, and especially a dear friend. He selflessly and consistently put others before himself. Franco Salonna was born in Peterborough, England on June 21st, 1962, to Domenico and Graziella Salonna.
Frank met the love of his life, Kerry Salonna, at ages 17 and 16. Frank spotted Kerry from across the roller-skating rink, and as he skated by, he “accidentally” tipped his Coca-Cola on her jeans to get her attention. Kerry was not impressed, their first date followed in the form of an apology. He quickly won her over, and from then on, their young love flourished, and they married on August 9th, 1984.
Frank and Kerry were blessed with 3 children, Benjamin Lee Salonna (33), Oliver Lee Salonna (30), and Mollie Mae Salonna (27). In 2008, the family made the adventurous decision to move to Texas and has lived here since. Frank was a cherished father and will be remembered as a loving and devoted family man.
Frank began his career at Creative Solutions in Healthcare in the Accounts Payable department where he quickly distinguished himself. As he continued to learn about the facilities and their projects at Creative, he transitioned into a new position as Director of Physical Plant Operations. His success in the role quickly earned him a well-deserved promotion to Vice President of Plant Operations in 2020.
Frank was a devoted member of The Well Church, and there he found many friends he called family. His faith was strongly reflected in his daily life, especially in his role as a loving husband, father, and friend.
Frank was diagnosed with a Glioblastoma in August of 2022 and fought valiantly until he was called home to Jesus on November 1, 2023, surrounded by his loving wife, children, and two dogs.
He was preceded in death by his parents who are laid to rest in Italy. Frank is survived by his older sister, Antonietta Merola and husband, Mimo; and younger sister, Tina Eustace and husband, Colin; along with both sisters’ children.
The Salonna family expresses their heartfelt gratitude to all those who prayed and supported them throughout this long and difficult journey.
