Francis W. Witherspoon, Jr., 73, of Weatherford passed away Tuesday, March 13, 2018, at his home. He was born January 21, 1945, in Old Hickory, Tennessee. Francis served in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War. He owned a paint and body shop in Nashville where he met and became friends with many country singers. Francis retired from Sims Lumber and enjoyed putting together large remote control trucks. He will be missed by all those who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his children, Francis W. Witherspoon, III, Stephen (Emily) Witherspoon, and Pamela Witherspoon; grandchildren, Danielle, Hannah, Jacob, Christian, Brittany (Trevor), Scout, Stetson, and Layla; and great-granddaughter, Haliegh.
Graveside service will be held Thursday, March 22, 2018, at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.
