Francis Elbert Nichols, 72, passed away Wednesday, September 11, 2013.
Francis was born March 16, 1941, to Louis and Theople Nichols, in Parker County, Texas. He married Donice Carter in 1959. He served in law enforcement for seven years and then became self-employed in the construction business for 30 years. He was a long standing member of the Parker County Sheriff’s Posse and a member of Center Point Baptist Church.
Francis was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Louise Stevens; and daughter-in-law, Connie Nichols.
He is survived by Donice Nichols; his children, Bob and Alma Nichols, Len Nichols, and Beverly and Chris Johnson; seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews, and his aunt, Pearl Stevens.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, September 14, 2013, at 10:00 a.m., at Center Point Baptist Church, with Rev. Van Houser officiating and interment to follow in Center Point Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, September 13, 2013, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel.
