Francis Anthony Alexandre

  Francis Anthony Alexandre, lovingly known as Al, passed away peacefully at the age of 85 on Saturday, August 1, 2026. Born in Barnstable, MA, to Claudio and Mary Sousa Alexandre, 

  Al lived a life dedicated to service and community. His proudest accomplishments included serving for 22 years as a retired USAF Master Sergeant E-7 with six tours in Vietnam, owning 7 Day Auto Parts in Abilene, and volunteering with the Take Time to Read program at Bassetti Elementary School.

  In addition to his parents, Al was preceded in death by his wife Virginia, his sister Mary Ann McElhaney, and brother Raymond Alexandre.

  Al is survived by his loving family, including his daughters, Natalie Holmes and Susan Alexandre; grandsons, Ian (Megan Reardon) Bullman and Leo Holmes; great-granddaughter, Emily Adkins; sister-in-law, Wanda Fay Cope; nieces, Mary Lynn (David) Caswell, Mary Sue (Ron)Agostini, Carolyn Moody, Donna (Gary) Winnett, and Laura (Terry) Biggs; nephews, Larry (Vicki) Cope, Richard (Semiha) Cope, Chuck (Susan) Howell, and Kelly (Autumn) Howell; and his beloved cat, Charlie. 

  Please join us in celebrating his life. The funeral ceremony will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, August 15, 2026, with a visitation beginning at 9:30 a.m., at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel in Weatherford, Texas. A short committal service with Air Force Funeral Honors will immediately follow at Clark Cemetery.
