Flora Lajuana Riffe

Flora LaJuana Riffe, 84, of Weatherford, passed away at her home in Paris, Texas, on October 16th, 2023. LaJuana was born January 4th, 1939, in Weatherford, Texas, to Otto and Flora Lothridge.

LaJuana loved Jesus and reading scriptures. She taught anyone who would listen to love Jesus, love each other, have compassion for others, and to forgive one another as Jesus has forgiven us. She would tell us to never forget to glorify Him on an everyday basis. She was never ashamed to talk about Jesus in the store or anywhere she went. She loved beautiful sunny days and chatting with her family, neighbors, and caregivers on her front porch. LaJuana loved playing piano and singing her music. We will miss her smile every morning.

In addition to her parents, LaJuana was preceded in death by her husband, Denver Riffe; sister, Betty Michou; brother, Leslie Lothridge; and daughter-in-law, Karrie Riffe.

LaJuana leaves behind her brothers, Edwin and Lloyd Lothridge. She is also survived by her children, Rebekah Baker and husband, Kenny, Billy Riffe and wife, Michelle, Robert Riffe and wife, Charlena, Karl Riffe and wife, Debra; 10 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandbabies.

We will greatly miss our loving and inspiring mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. We will never forget her passionate prayers. We are so thankful for her continuing to urge us to dedicate our lives to the Lord. Our greatest comfort is knowing she is finally home with our Lord and Savior and her husband.

A funeral ceremony will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 25, 2023, at the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, 913 North Elm Street, Weatherford, Texas 76086. Burial will follow the service at Central Cemetery.

The family will receive friends during a visitation from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 24, 2023, at the funeral chapel.
